ActivityManager.associateActivityItems Errors Out With java.lang.IllegalStateException: A transaction has not been begun in this thread

Symptoms
On : 7.4.0.0.0 version, Business Interaction
Once the Activity is created, a ruleset is fired (ext point is AFTER ActivityManager_createActivity) in order to retrieve a custom object and associate it either to the business interaction (this is working) either to the activity using PersistenceHelper.makeActivityManager().associateActivityItems.
You get the exception during the closure of exception.
