Unable to Commit Product in Pricing Center Due to Error 'The GLID specified in the rate balance impact is not valid' (Doc ID 2563292.1)

Last updated on JUNE 26, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management - Version 7.5.0.22.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On a system that was upgraded from PS19 to PS22, when trying to commit a product (any simple product with a GLID associated in the balance impact) in Pricing Center, it is throwing an error (in a popup window) that says 'The GLID specified in the rate balance impact is not valid'.

See screen shot below:

In the cm pinlog, the following response is seen:

A value of zero in PIN_FLD_RESULT indicates a failure.

It was also noted that, selecting the default GLID (0) in the balance impact allows the product to be committed OK.

The /config/glid object was verified to be present in the database and it contains the GLID selected in the balance impact of the product's configuration.
