Alter_column_dd_objects_table.source Did Not Update Some Of The Event Sub Classes (Doc ID 2568004.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 22, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management - Version 12.0.0.1.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

While upgrading to Patch Set 1(PS1), during execution of the the script alter_column_dd_objects_table.source it did not update some of the event sub classes in the system.

To add some background, this script is part of BRM 12 PS1 and it is supposed to have been executed as part of PS1 installation/setup. This script is expected to update the dd_objects_t.EVENT_TYPE with appropriate values for all events.

But on execution of the script, it was seen that, while most of the events got updated, the below events did not get updated with the appropriate value in EVENT_TYPE column as indicated below:

/event/billing/fee/failed_payment -> SUBSCRIPTION_ONE_TIME
/event/billing/incentive -> SUBSCRIPTION_ONE_TIME
/event/session -> USAGE_PREPAID
/event/session/telco -> USAGE_PREPAID

Instead the above event types remained with value NULL.

While the workaround is to manually update the said columns, what is the solution?
