On : 12.2.6 version, Materials Requirements Plan In PROD

For a particular buy item users have defined
PTF = 1 day
Hard SS = 522

They are running a regular MRP plan and have several demands and supplies including Purchase Orders (PO's) already created.  They notice that with a plan run date in early May 2019 that PAB is below SS until early July and they don't understand why planned orders are not being generated to cover SS until almost 2 months later since PTF for the item = 1 day

Users expect SS to be covered by planned orders when PAB goes below SS

STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Create Hard SS for an item
2. Create Supply Demand for the item
3. Run MRP plan
4. Find that for several months PAB is below SS for an item
