Symptoms

A new user recently created in Oracle Clinical tries to submit a Batch Validation Session, but it never completes, it stays in SUBMITTED status.

A log file is created in the user's log directory with the following content:

ERROR:Error while connecting:
  ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied
