Error 500 or 505 When Utilizing "createCompleteBPRecord" Web Services Method (Doc ID 2571354.1)

Symptoms

When using "createCompleteBPRecord" web services method to create new Business Process records, the SOAP client is logging 500 and 505 Error messages. 

Errors
-----------------------
Unifier WS Return Status Code = 500. Status Message = All Line Items require WBS Codes,
Unifier WS Return Status Code = 505. Status Message = AB-12345 is not a valid WBS code. Error in creating line item, invalid wbs_code: AB-12345


STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Configure Web Services client to send out "createCompleteBPRecord" web service calls.
  2. When the job is run, there are several failure messages in the SOAP client logs indicating the 2 Errors above.
  3. Correct WBS codes are being included in all line items, so the root cause could not be determined.
