Importing Blank to Money Field Fails with Fatal Exception Occurred Empty String (Doc ID 2571691.1)

Fails to import blank value to Money field with below error


Fatal Exception occurred empty String


  1. Login to Java Client as admin user
  2. Goto Admin tab > Data Settings > Classes > Published Prices class > User Interface Tabs > Price Lines > Attributes, and enable Text01, Numeric01 and Money01 attributes
  3. Login to Web Client, and create Manufacturer Part MP0002 with Manufacturer Name: Oracle
  4. Do Actions > Create New > Price, and create new Published Price
    PRICE00002. Set Supplier: MR00001 and Save
  5. Open the created Price
  6. Goto Price Lines, and add Price Line with below Information:
    Ship To: City A
    Price Effective From: 2019/3/1
    Price Effective To: 2019/3/2
    Qty: 100
    Currency Code: USD
    Text01: 1
    Numeric01: 2
    Money01: 100
  7. Create Import data file with below header attributes and data:
    Manufacturer Part: MP0002
    Manufacturer: Oracle
    Price Number: PRICE00002
    Supplier: MR00001
    Ship From: (Blank)
    Ship To: City A
    Qty: 105
    Currency Code: USD
    Text01: (Blank)
    Money01: (Blank)
    Effective From Date: 2019/3/1
    Effective To Date: 2019/3/2
  8. Login to Web Client, goto Tools > Import
  9. Select the file created in step 7 as file to import
  10. Click Preference, and make sure Blank Data Action is set to "Overwrite"
  11. In the Specify File Content screen, select Published Price Lines, and Next
  12. Map all the attributes in the file
  13. For Redline Options, select "Update do not require redlining"
  14. Next, and Import
  15. Gets Error: Fatal Exception occurred empty String
  16. Open the import data file
  17. Input value to Money01 field, and save
  18. Run import again. This time import completes successfully.
    However, unable to clear the Money01 field
