Clarification On The Database Mapping Of Taken Previously / Tolerated Field (Doc ID 2574222.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 04, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Life Sciences Argus Safety - Version 8.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

The database mapping of Taken previously / Tolerated field is misleading.

Specifically, the description on the CASE_PROD_DRUGS table for PREV_USE field the following information is displayed. Argus stores Null when the value 'Unknown / N/A' is selected in the case form > Products > Product Details but as per the data base mapping '-1' to be populated in the PREV_USE column of CASE_PROD_DRUGS table.

Unknown / N/A = -1
No / N/a = 0
Yes / Unknown = 1
Yes / Not Tolerated = 2
Yes / Tolerated = 3
To store null store -2

Through testing it was found that the application does not behave consistently with what is described.

Unknown / N/A = -1 In this case the data in the table is NULL. Also when 'No / N/A is entered the table value is not '0', and there is a problem with '-2'. The UI values corresponding with 1,2,3 work as documented.
