Users Cannot Login Into RPM If RPM_SECURE_USERS Group Is Not Under Cn=Groups Umbrella (Doc ID 2576026.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 04, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Retail Price Management - Version 15.0.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Usually rpm_secure_users group is created in cn=Groups,dc=company,dc=local.

When business requires the group to be created in another location: cn=rpm_secure_users,ou=my_ou,dc=my_dc,dc=local users are not able to login.

It fails with the message: "Could not find user by username: USER"

Having exactly the same settings in Weblogic and moving the rpm_secure_users in OID to the following locations works:
* cn=rpm_secure_users,cn=Groups,dc=my_dc,dc=local: OK
* cn=rpm_secure_users,ou=my_ou,cn=Groups,dc=my_dc,dc=local
It seems the rpm_secure_users group needs to be under cn=Groups.

Could you please advise what needs to be changed in order to meet the business requirement?
