INTERVAL INITIAL MEASUREMENT LENS SHOWS WRONG TIMES ON INTERVALS ON SPRING DST CHANGE (Doc ID 2590208.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 23, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Utilities Meter Data Management - Version 2.2.0.3.0 and later
Oracle Utilities Framework - Version 4.3.0.6.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

The Interval Initial Measurement Lens shows details in the chart about each interval. It uses the interval end time on each interval so for a daily cut (midnight to midnight) of 15-minute interval data the first interval will be marked 00:15:00 and will represent the reading between 00:00:00 and 00:15:00.

When displaying an IMD like this on the US Spring DST day (March 10, 2019), the timestamps on the intervals are incorrect.

Expected values:

00:15:00
00:30:00
00:45:00
01:00:00
01:15:00
01:30:00
01:45:00
03:00:00 *
03:15:00
03:30:00
03:45:00
04:00:00

(*this interval starts at 1:45 and ends 15 min later at the same moment the clocks change from 2am to 3am)

Actual Behavior:

00:15:00
00:30:00
00:45:00
01:00:00
01:15:00
01:30:00
01:45:00
01:00:00 - WRONG
01:15:00 - WRONG
01:30:00 - WRONG
01:45:00 - WRONG
04:00:00
