Symptoms

On : Unifier 17.12.7.1

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR

When trying to create a Business Process (BP) record. users receive the following message:

         The value for field [field name] must be unique.  There is another record containing the same value for this field.

However, the value in the field referenced in the message does not already exist and is unique.

STEPS:

  1. Log in to Unifier
  2. Navigate to problem BP in appropriate project
  3. Create new record, type in a unique value in the problem data element (DE), fill in any required DEs.
  4. Attempt to send the record.

Changes

 A bulk edit was performed in the BP to update the value of the problem DE so that the value is changed and can be used in a new record.
