IGTAX And IDISC Information Is Removed When The SKU Is Changed In The UI At TITEM Level (Doc ID 2598376.1)

Symptoms

IGTAX and IDISC information is removed when the SKU is changed in the User Interface(UI) at TITEM level

The taxes may not be "correct" based on the new SKU, but they are what was charged by the POS, so they need to be retained.

The same works for the discount records.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Create a Discounted SALE transaction for an item that belongs to a department, with both the IDISC and IGTAX information entered in an RTLOG format.
  2. Upload the RTLOG through the batch processes.
  3. Open up the Manage Transaction screen.
  4. Search for the Transaction just created and open the transaction detail screen.
  5. Scroll down and open the item details widget - User will see that there is information for both Item Taxes and Item Discounts (amounts and codes).
  6. Scroll back up and open click actions on the item and then edit to open the Edit Item Screen.
  7. Remove the SKU number and enter in a new SKU reference.
  8. Notice the following warning Message:  - "Discount or Item level tax records exist for this item record. Changing the item will cause the child records to be deleted. Do you want to continue?".
  9. Click yes and notice that all information is removed.
