PolicyRequirements Security Not Working As Expected (Doc ID 2600372.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 15, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Insurance Policy Administration J2EE - Version 11.2.0.10 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On : 11.2.0.10 version, General

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
The Edit(Pencil) icon on the Status Code field on the PolicyRequirement Screen cannot be disabled. It can be hidden by disabling the RequirementDetail button in OIPA security but we need the status to be displayed. Expect the RequirementUpdates button to disable that but the button seems to do nothing. There is no way to disable the Mark [Selected/All] AS [Status] buttons on the PolicyRequirements screen. When RequirementUpdate button is disabled and you attempt to use this it crashes the browser with no stacktrace or error in the logs.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
Ability to disable the the updating of requirements through the PolicyRequirements screen. All users should not be allowed to update these.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Disable RequirementUpdate in the PolicyRequirement screen in OIPA security. You should not be able to update when navigating to the PolicyRequirement screen.
