OCNCC 12.0.2.0 Fails to Extend Reservations on Linux (Doc ID 2607397.1)

Last updated on MARCH 27, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control - Version 12.0.2.0.0 to 12.0.2.0.0 [Release 12.0.0]
Linux x86-64

Symptoms

On Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control (OCNCC or NCC) 12.0.2.0.0, when attempting to perform a rated call/data session, the following error occurs:

if the initial reservation is consumed and an attempt is made to extend said reservation.

This issue occurs with the default NCC deployment and only on Linux.

This can also be reproduced by:

1. Installing NCC 12.0.2.0 on Linux
2. Disable GLOBAL.compatible32bit on the VWS (set it to false)
3. Restart the Service Logic Execution Environment (SLEE) on the VWS
4. Run a rated call/data session

As a result, the call/data session will fail as no further funds are returned from the Voucher Wallet Server (VWS).  This issue does not affect the initial reservation.
