Last updated on DECEMBER 02, 2019

Applies to:

Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

It was observed in DGW (Diameter Gateway) component of ECE (Elastic Charging Engine) that for some requests the decoded value for User-Equipment-Info-Value field is wrong. The value populated in DGW contains 'tab' character which causes PIN_REL to fail on loading CDRs (Call Detail Record) to BRM (Billing and Revenue Management) database.

DGW traces for correct and wrong decoded values in DGW log file is as below:

Wrong:
User-Equipment-Info-Value (460,,l=16) = S rpbY3A

Correct:
User-Equipment-Info-Value (460,,l=16) = 0x5397550143815410
