'ERROR: Not enough permissions to create directory/file' When Installing OFSAAI 1-off Patch (Doc ID 2615491.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to install an OFSAAI 1-off patch, you get the error below:

Log [2019-11-25 10:09:22.683] [OFSAAIUPDATE] [DEBUG] - Checking permissions on OFSAAI mount directory : /app
Log [2019-11-25 10:09:22.684] [OFSAAIUPDATE] [DEBUG] - ERROR: Not enough permissions to create directory/file under /app. Kindly grant permissions or set parameter BACKUP LOCATION under /app/stage/patches/30086750/30086750/JAVA7/params.conf file to an alternate backup location. Trigger the patch installation again post update.

Note: The directory listed in the error above, /app/stage/patches/30086750/30086750, is an example of a directory where the patch is executed.

A params.conf file does not exist in the patch.

As a result of the error, the patch is not installed.
