Inconsistent Behavior On Priceitem BO Algorithm (Doc ID 2617063.1)

Symptoms

On RMB v2.6.0.1.0, Inconsistent behavior on priceitem BO algorithm.

Four runs were made on a custom batch which internally invokes priceitem BO algorithm for validation.
1st run - 2 records went to error (eg: A1 and B1).
2nd run - no records in error.
3rd run - 2 records went to error - different records compared to 1st run (eg: A2 and B2)
4th run - 2 records again went to error - different records again (eg: A3 and B3)

The exception thrown was "ArrayIndexOutOfBoundException" every time but still the entry was made in base tables.

ArrayIndexOutOfBoundException: null

Due to this issue, Users have to spend a lot of time validating the results. It affects the productivity and still may bring incorrect values.
