EBS-PS: PS Calculates Incorrect Run Time Duration For Resource Setup With Lot Basis Type (Doc ID 2618204.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 13, 2020

Applies to:

Oracle Production Scheduling - Version 12.2.6 to 12.2.6 [Release 12.2]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Total run time for a lot basis resource assigned to a setup operation sequence in a routing is calculated by dividing usage rate (7.85 hrs) with total assigned units (3) instead of using just 1 unit. Also, the setup operation is spread across all 3 resource units.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Create a routing operation step and assign a resource as lot basis type with duration = 470 min (7.85 hrs) and assigned units = 3
2. Create a work order
3. Run collections
4. Launch and open PS model
5. Review work order bill of resource tab and observe run time duration is calculated as 2.62 hours and total capacity used as 3 instead of showing 7.85 hours and capacity used = 1
