ECE Server Logging for Multiples RatingGroups (Doc ID 2619286.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 13, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Communications BRM - Elastic Charging Engine - Version and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

When a Credit Control Request (CCR) is received from network with multiple combinations of ServiceId+ServiceContextId+RatingGroups, Diameter Gateway (DGW) sends to Elastic Charging Engine (ECE) one usage for each combination.

For example, the following combinations are received, which generates these requestIDs to ECE:
requestId=DGW_8;3766883692;1392;19023_SI:0_RG:0 (default)
requestId=DGW_8;3766883692;1392;19023_SI:0_RG:2 (facebook)
requestId=DGW_8;3766883692;1392;19023_SI:0_RG:50005 (various)
requestId=DGW_8;3766883692;1392;19023_SI:0_RG:4 (instagram)
requestId=DGW_8;3766883692;1392;19023_SI:0_RG:13 (snapchat)
requestId=DGW_8;3766883692;1392;19023_SI:0_RG:3 (whatsapp)

Different values for RatingGroups (RG) are appeared.

Checking the information for each specific usage, it always showing inside ECE server log the same entry. But the information logged is not referenced specifically to "RG:0"; instead, it shows information for "RG:2". So, the problem is that when a lot of RatinGroups are received from the network, the user has to check what is happening with each specific one, which is confusing.
