Symptoms

When attempting to execute the start_Primavera.cmd (or start_Primavera.sh) to start up the P6 EPPM application,
the following error occurs.

ERROR
-----------------------
PRM-Unable to connect to the Node Manager. It may not be running,
PRM-or communications may be blocked by a firewall.
PRM-Completed. Returned error level: 1


STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Execute the start_Primavera.cmd (or start_Primavera.sh) script.
  2. The P6 EPPM startup is failed with above error.


BUSINESS IMPACT
-----------------------
The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot start up the P6 EPPM.
