Nodemanager Startup Fails With Error "Unable to Connect to the Node Manager. It May Not Be Running or Communications May Be Blocked by a Firewall" When SSL is Configured (Doc ID 2626243.1)

Information in this document applies to any platform.


When attempting to execute the start_Primavera.cmd (or to start up the P6 EPPM application,
the following error occurs.

PRM-Unable to connect to the Node Manager. It may not be running,
PRM-or communications may be blocked by a firewall.
PRM-Completed. Returned error level: 1

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Execute the start_Primavera.cmd (or script.
  2. The P6 EPPM startup is failed with above error.

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot start up the P6 EPPM.
