Undo Functionality While Running PL SQL Procedures For PFT? (Doc ID 2626743.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 08, 2020

Applies to:

Oracle Financial Services Profitability Management - Version 6.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.
Oracle Financial Services Profitability Management (PFT)
Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications (OFSAA)
Oracle Financial Services Enterprise Performance Management (EPM)

Goal

In order to keep design efficient and improve performance, the use of PL SQL procedures in place of PFT rules is assessed for non-allocation tasks like below:
1. Aggregate driver data from transaction tables to Management Ledger (ML)
2. Derive total cost - by applying standard rate * times volume to all transactions. (i.e. Multiply Standard rate stored in ML * by volume at customer transaction level)

While using PL SQL procedures, one functionality that is seen missing (as compared to PFT rules) is the 'Undo' option.

Would 'Undo' functionality be available through use of PL SQL procedures? Will customer be able to undo a calculation output in case results are not as desired?
