COPY Function Not Working During Update Operation Of File Request Type (Doc ID 2628539.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 13, 2020

Applies to:

Oracle Financial Services Revenue Management and Billing - Version 2.7.0.1.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

The 'COPY' function is used in 'FRT' to copy data from one entity to another.  Per our new requirements, the original entity details may get updated. An Enhancement is requested in
order to ensure that the updated details are reflected in the 'COPIED' entity as well.

This functionality cannot be achieved via customization since the 'COPY' function currently does not have the provision for automatic updates.

A business case is as follows:

Initially, the client sends 2 input files for data loading - one for 'Custody Account' and one for 'Cash Account' where 'Cash' account will 'COPY' the entire
'Custody' account details.

Now, the client wants to send updates for 'Custody' account data which is loaded again. But, there is no file for 'Cash' account since it is expected
that 'Cash' account will automatically update its details through the 'COPY' function.

This is why the Enhancement is needed.
