Artifact Generator not Generating Class Files for New Java Code from Source and Sourcegen Folders (Doc ID 2630331.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 22, 2020

Applies to:

Oracle Financial Services Revenue Management and Billing - Version 2.4.0.1.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

On RMB v2.4.0.1.0 environment, we have defined 2 new lookup paths. We see the below files in "C:\spl\dqdev\java\sourcegen\cm\com\splwg\cm\api\lookup" folder after running the artifact generator:

CmSalesChannelLookup.java
CmSalesChannelLookup_Gen.java
CmSourceSystemLookup.java
CmSourceSystemLookup_Gen.java

But the corresponding .class files are not getting generated in the "C:\spl\dqdev\java\target\cm\com\splwg\cm\api\lookup" folder.
We have tried deleting all subfolders under target folder, but even then it is not generating the class files.
We expect that like it is generating the Java files, it should generate the corresponding Class files as well.

This article is to explain if this is correct expectation and the process on how to generate the Class files.
