On : 2.3.0.2.0 version, Web Workspace

Model Build Patch Fail with MBS-01001

If a device has a blank alias entry, MBService will report an MBS-01001 error, but the patch will succeed and get committed.


Message: MBS-01001 location: Patch::addAlias Severity: E

  Context:
  Time: 12/19/19 08:49


The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps, using an OPAL demo model:

1. cd ~/data/patches
2. cp done/3434.mb .
3. Edit 3434.mb
4. Find object "xfm_oh 3500"
5. Change the ALIAS['OPS'] line to be ALIAS['OPS']=""
6. Save the changes
7. Patch -diff 3434.mb

The patch will succeed, but the patch log will show an MBS-01001 error.
