Applies to:

Oracle Health Sciences Data Management Workbench - Version 2.4.8.4 to 2.9.0 [Release 2.4 to 2.9.0]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

The Validation Check batch is not getting installed for a batch in the Production life cycle. For one of the program instances, the Table definition has one column deleted and the "~" symbol is prefixed in the column name and Program Instance -> Table Descriptor mapping status is changing to Incomplete which is causing the error. But the batch installed successfully in the QC and DEV life cycle.

Error in the install log:

XFM_INSTALL:17-DEC-19 10:36:41:*** ERROR: There may be errors during work area installation for the target model. Please try re-deploying the map.
Error from OWB/CDR DB Server-PLSQL Operator:  statement:"begin CDR_Wxxxxxxxxxxx.PLSQL_UTIL_PROG_PKG.PROCESSPLSQLUTILJOB ; end;"  caught:java.sql.SQLException: ORA-20200: *** ERROR: Exception while Installing the VC Batch..Hence cannot proceed further

Changes

There were some changes in the source table (some columns were deleted) and also the VC was upgraded to latest version. The same VC was installed successfully in Dev and QC life cycle.
