PolicyScreen Role's Section Does Not Support Tests That Use Screen Math Variables (Doc ID 2644241.1)

Last updated on MARCH 02, 2020

Applies to:

Oracle Insurance Policy Administration J2EE - Version 11.2.0.19 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On : 11.2.0.19 version, General

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
PolicyScreen Role's Section does not support tests that use Screen Math Variables. According to the documentation you can reference Screen Math variables in the test when the type is EXPRESSION. If you have a test in a role on the PolicyScreen that is using a screen math variable it crashes when you try and load the screen. If you use two literal values it works but not as expected since we can't compared based on math.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
Ability to use Screen Math in Test's in the Role Section of the Policy Screen when type = Expression.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1) On the Policy Screen have a global screen math section
2) On a Role Node in the Policy Screen create a test where type = expression
3) In the test try and reference a Screen Math Variable
4) Navigate to the policy screen in OIPA and notice it will crash.
