Not Able To Generate E2BR3 Report Draft With PDF Attachments from Documentum - Error while generating the HL7 message (Doc ID 2650640.1)

Symptoms

Not able to generate E2BR3 report / pdf draft with attachments from Documentum)

When try to open the draft pdf get below warning:

Error while generating the HL7 message



The ESM_OWNER.ERROR_LOG shows:

  HL7Report: GetDocumentumAttachmentData - Could not find a part of the path
  '\\by-abcdef\argus_data_T$\Safety\Safety\PDFReports\by-abcdef\argus_data_T$\Safety\PDFReports\0902bc36802bc74f.pdf'.
  at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String maybeFullPath)
  at System.IO.FileStream.Init(String path, FileMode mode, FileAccess access, Int32 rights, Boolean useRights, FileShare share, Int32 bufferSize, FileOptions options, SECURITY_ATTRIBUTES secAttrs, String msgPath, Boolean bFromProxy, Boolean useLongPath, Boolean checkHost)
  at System.IO.FileStream..ctor(String path, FileMode mode, FileAccess access)

Currently have a UNC path configured in Argus.ini; if this is changed to utilize a local path below warning appears

  HL7Report: GetDocumentumAttachmentData - The given path's format is not supported.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

Generate an R3 E2B Report for a Case that has attachments from Documentum
