Overpayment Getting Created For Linked Accounts In Settlement Construct (Doc ID 2650692.1)

Last updated on MARCH 23, 2020

Applies to:

Oracle Financial Services Revenue Management and Billing - Version 2.6.0.1.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On : 2.6.0.1.0 version

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
It was created a settlement construct with settlement account let's say SA1, for which there are linked usage accounts LA1, LA2, LA3.

Now, bill is created for accounts SA1, LA1, LA2, LA3, let's say SA1_bill--100$, LA1_bill--10$, LA2_bill--15$, LA3_bill--20$.

After running auto payment related batches - ACTVTAPY, APAYCRET, APAYDSFR, BALAPY payment segments corresponding to SA1_bill, LA1_bill, LA2_bill, LA3_bill are created.

But the payment created corresponding to linked accounts for LA1_bill, LA2_bill, LA3_bill is containing two pay segments each.

For LA1_bill, one payment is created correctly for linked accounts with payor account as SA1 and payment amount 10$, but there is one more overpayment of same amount of 10$ getting created with overpayment contract with payor_account_id as LA1.

Similar case is there for other linked accounts as well.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
Only one payment should be created for bills of linked accounts where payor account id should be of settlement account.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Create settlement construct with settlement account let's say SA1;
2. Link usage accounts LA1, LA2, LA3;
3. Run auto payment related batches - ACTVTAPY, APAYCRET, APAYDSFR, BALAPY;
4. Notice that payment created corresponding to linked accounts for LA1_bill, LA2_bill, LA3_bill is containing two pay segments each.
