Authpassword Channel Option Is Not Working (Doc ID 2653807.1)

Symptoms

A SMTP channel is configured as SASL client with mustsaslclient channel parameter (all emails handled by that channel must be sent to a smarthost with SMTP AUTH).

After messaging server was  upgraded to 8.0.2.x, the authentication to the smarthost is not working anymore.

The channel is configured as follows:

 Messaging Server was upgraded to version 8.0.2.0.
