Changes Made to the P6 Configuration Settings Are Not Reflected in All Installed P6 EPPM Components (Doc ID 2655162.1)

Last updated on APRIL 02, 2020

Applies to:

Primavera P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management - Version 16.2.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR

After upgrading a P6 EPPM environment, changes to the settings in the P6 Administrator Application are reflected in some P6 EPPM components but not all of them after restarting the P6 EPPM processes.

Example: After changing the logging level setting to WARN then stopping and starting the P6 EPPM managed servers, viewing the P6WebAccess.html log file in the <P6 EPPM home>\p6\WebAccessLogs folder indicate that only WARN and ERROR-level entries are generated; but viewing the log files in the <P6 EPPM home>\tm\WebAccessLogs or <P6 EPPM home>\ws\WebAccessLogs folders shows that DEBUG and INFO-level entries are still being generated.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

All installed P6 components should reflect the changes to the P6 EPPM configuration.
