Symptoms

In Oracle Health Sciences Data Management Workbench (DMW 2.4.8.4), when attempting to access Data Review Listings in Production life cycle the following error occurs at the UI level:

"DMW-###: An unexpected error occurred while processing the data. Please try again. If the error persists please contact the system administrator".

In the WebLogic Server logs, the following exception is generated:

[2020-04-03T10:39:49.978+01:00] [DMWServer1] [ERROR] [] [dmwapp] [tid: [ACTIVE].ExecuteThread: '57' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default (self-tuning)'] [userId: <USER_ID>] [ecid: 005c_ymWjjg4AxhqD8I7US0006PD0007gt,0:1] [APP: dmwapp] [partition-name: DOMAIN] [tenant-name: GLOBAL] [DSID: 0000N4zInuT4AxhqD8I7US1UTZUC00007w] DMW-094: An unexpected error occurred while processing the data. The issue can be reproduced with the following steps:

  1. Create a table with e.g. 3 columns.
  2. Install the Model and promote it to QC and install in QC.
  3. Now the display order for Columns is 1,2,3 both in DEV and QC.
  4. Go back to the DEV lifecycle, checkout the Model and add a new column COL4.
The Display order becomes 5 or 6 (higher than 4) for this new column.
  5. Click on "Modify Display Order" and move COL4 above COL3. Click OK.
Now the order should be as follows:
      COL1 - 1
      COL2 - 2
      COL4 - 3
      COL3 - 4
  6. Install the DM and Promote it to QC and install.
  7. Now in QC you will notice the display order as:
      COL1 - 1
      COL2 - 2
      COL3 - 3
      COL4 - 3
