Argus Mart Incremental ETL Failed with Error (Doc ID 2659543.1)

Symptoms

Argus Mart ETL for last run has failed with the below error:

ODI-1519: Serial step "root_step (InternalID:266)" failed because child step "PKG_INC_AM (InternalID:300)" is in error.
ODI-1217: Session PKG_INC_AM (12169) fails with return code 20010.
ODI-1226: Step PRC_pop_etl_sm_cases_ref_data fails after 1 attempt(s).
ODI-1232: Procedure PRC_pop_etl_sm_cases_ref_data execution fails.
ODI-1228: Task Procedure-PRC_pop_etl_sm_cases_ref_data-Command 0 fails on the target connection DS_AM_ARGUSMART.
Caused By: java.sql.SQLException: ORA-20010: ORA-01722: invalid number
ORA-06512: at "AM_MART_USER.PKG_SM_STOSM", line 504


The next run was picked up as per daily schedule but failed again with a different error:

ODI-1519: Serial step "root_step (InternalID:266)" failed because child step "SCN_etl_pre_req_checks_incremental (InternalID:270)" is in error.
ODI-1217: Session SCN_etl_pre_req_checks_incremental (12173) fails with return code 20010.
ODI-1226: Step PRC_etl_pre_req_checks_incremental fails after 1 attempt(s).
ODI-1232: Procedure PRC_etl_pre_req_checks_incremental execution fails.
ODI-1228: Task Procedure-PRC_etl_pre_req_checks_incremental-Command 0 fails on the target connection DS_AM_ARGUSMART.
Caused By: java.sql.SQLException: ORA-20010: Pre Requisite check of ETL execution failed.
ORA-06512: at "AM_STAGE_USER.PKG_SM_STAGE_UTIL", line 5
