Will ISC Clean Up The .tmp Files? (Doc ID 2663833.1)

Last updated on JULY 07, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Messaging Server - Version 8.0.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

The Indexed Search Convertor (ISC) is leaving some .tmp files under /<path>/store/cache.
Will ISC clean up these .tmp files?

Example:

host:/<path>/store/cache$ find . -name \*.tmp -ls

It is assumed that the above files were formed when the ISC daemon had to be killed to get it to shut down.

Is something going to clean those up?

Also, what is the process for removing files from the cache?
Does ISC do that? Or does stored do that?
Will it also remove leftover .tmp files?
