Value Field Filter in Worklist -> New > Search Case Does Not Work As Expected (Doc ID 2669426.1)

Information in this document applies to any platform.

On the Worklist > New form, except when 'Case Number' has been selected for the 'Filter' field, use of the 'Value' field to search behaves counter-intuitively.

To demonstrate the behavior do the following:

1) In the 'Filter' field, click on the down arrow to select any value except 'Case Number' or 'Event as reported'

2) Then remove “<ABC> – PRIORITIZATION” by clicking on the 'X' icon in the 'Value' field and leave it blank.

3) Click 'Search'

Expected result: the 'Value' field would be cleared and the displayed list would be reset to present all options.
The search would use whatever value is displayed in the 'Value' field.

Actual result:  The previous selected Workflow state gets populated automatically and the corresponding cases get pulled.

Only by using the Destructive Backspace to delete all characters from the 'Value' field, or by clicking and dragging to select all displayed characters and pressing Delete button is the field reset to NULL thereby enabling the List of Values to be reset.

When 'Case Number' is selected for the Filter option, the Value must be entered manually and the drop down list is inactive. This causes the 'X' icon to clear the field, but only visibly. The value persists in the query used to populate the screen.
