RWMS Allows to Create a Container with Spaces at the Beggining of the Container_Id (Doc ID 2669904.1)

Last updated on MAY 20, 2020

Applies to:

Oracle Retail Warehouse Management System - Version 15.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

RWMS allows to create a container with spaces an the beginning of the container_id for example ' CONTAINER1'.  Such a container is integrated to RMS with no issues.

When SIM receives such a container ' CONTAINER1', it removes the spaces at the beginning of the container and the receiving message stays in RIB_HOSPITAL in RMS because 'container1' does not exists and RMS only knows how the container id was originally shipped out of RWMS i.e. ' CONTAINER1' with the space before the string.

Why is RWMS allowing to create a container ID with spaces in the beginning of the string when SIM has the functionality to ignore that space and to integrate the message?
