P6 EPPM LDAP Authentication Fails Although the LDAP Connection Test is Successful Confirming Valid Connection Credentials (Doc ID 2676812.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to login to P6 Professional, the following error occurs.

Invalid login name or password. Please try again or choose Cancel to exit the application.
Could not bind to object LDAP://{ldap server:ldap_port SSL port}/DC=,DC=,DC= (80072020)

When attempting to login to P6 EPPM Web, the following error occurs:

Invalid Username or Password.

STEPS
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Launch the P6 Professional or P6 EPPM Web.
  2. Attempt to login
  3. Note the error.

Changes

The LDAP connection details changed and were updated accordingly in the Primavera Administrator then confirmed with a successful connection test.
