P6 EPPM LDAP Authentication Fails with 'Could not bind to object LDAP' or 'Invalid Username or Password' Even Though the LDAP Connection Test Is Successful (Doc ID 2676812.1)

When attempting to login to P6 Professional, the following error occurs.

Invalid login name or password. Please try again or choose Cancel to exit the application.
Could not bind to object LDAP://{ldap server:ldap_port SSL port}/DC=,DC=,DC= (80072020)

When attempting to login to P6 EPPM Web, the following error occurs:

Invalid Username or Password.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Launch the P6 Professional or P6 EPPM Web.
  2. Attempt to login.
  3. Note the error.


The LDAP connection details were updated and saved in the Primavera Administrator application, then confirmed with a successful connection test.
