Error "403 Forbidden You don't have permission to access <URL>/ws/rest/service/v1/bp/record/xxxxxxx on this server" When Performing "updateBPRecord" REST Call (Doc ID 2680169.1)

Symptoms

When sending a REST web service call to Update a BP Record, the REST client displays the following error message:

403 Forbidden You don't have permission to access /ws/rest/service/v1/bp/record/xxxxxxx on this server.

 

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Open the REST client.
  2. Enter the required data for a PUT call to the appropriate URL (ex. https://<unifier URL>/ws/rest/service/v1/bp/record/xxxxxxx) to update a Business Process record.
  3. The REST client displays the error noted above.
