Partitioning.pl Failed to Create Partitions if There is a Custom Functional Index (Doc ID 2682667.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 10, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management - Version 7.5.0.22.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Partition creation using the partitioning.pl fails during creation of index on item_t and bill_t if the tables are having functional indexes.

Example: Custom functional indexes:

Item_t --> I_ITEM_GLSEG_EFF__ID0
bill_t --> BILL_T_IDX10

While rebuilding the indexes with the partitions (partition_migrate, partition_historic and partition_last), it was using the user_ind_columns table, which uses the "SYS_NC00060$" for the item_t and similarly "SYS_NC00055$" for the bill_t table. The create table construct is throwing the error in the index portions. There was no error in any log file, but the below error was gathered from the upg_log_t table.

            ORA-00904: "SYS_NC00060$": invalid identifier

What is the reason for this error?
