Last updated on JUNE 25, 2020

Applies to:

Oracle Health Sciences Data Management Workbench - Version 2.5.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

ISSUE 1

---------

The following error occurs when attempting to change attributes of a new and not installed column of a table that was promoted and loaded in Production:

DMW-065: "A version of the data model is upgraded to Production. Hence destructive changes cannot be made to a column".

The issue can be reproduced with the following steps:
  1. Add a new VARCHAR2(50) column to a table
  2. Do not install
  3. Update the new column and change its attribute to NUMBER

ISSUE 2

---------

The user adds a non-nullable column to a table that was promoted and loaded in Production. Such a change is destructive, yet the UI code that is checking for destructive changes does not display the message DMW-065: "A version of the data model is upgraded to Production. Hence destructive changes cannot be made to a column".

Changes

The user adds a new table column or updates attributes of just added new column.
