Data Is Different Between the P6 Professional Client and the P6 Database (Doc ID 2686732.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 19, 2020

Applies to:

Primavera P6 Professional Project Management - Version to [Release 15.2 to 19.12]
Primavera P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management - Version to [Release 15.2 to 19.12]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

The "Finish On" type constraints ('Finish on or Before', 'Finish on or After' & 'Finish on') cause a mismatch of "Actual Start" values between the P6 Pro Client and the stored database value.

The date values displayed within the software match to the values displayed in the database.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Sign in to P6 Pro Client.
2. Open or create a project using any of the "Finish On" constraint types on an activity.
3. Provide an Actual Start date and Actual Finish date on the same day and time. (Example: August 30, 2019 17:00)
4. Compare the "Actual Start" value shown in the software to the "ACT_END_DATE" value in the database.
