Shouldn't TPauth Callout Use SO_LINGER to Prevent TIME_WAIT? (Doc ID 2689014.1)

On: Oracle Communications Messaging Server 8.1.0.x

Consider a setup that uses tpauthsdk (third-party auth callout).

$ msconfig show role.auth.authenticationserver
role.auth.authenticationserver = localhost:1056

During increased load on the MMP servers, one would notice errors like these in the imapproxy log:


Is it the TIME_WAIT half-connections that are to be blamed? Shouldn't TPauth callout use SO_LINGER to prevent TIME_WAIT?
