Last updated on JULY 16, 2020

Applies to:

Oracle Utilities Network Management System - Version 2.3.0.2.0 to 2.5.0.0.0 [Release 2.3 to 2.5]
Oracle Network Management for Utilities - DMS - Version 2.3.0.2.0 to 2.5.0.0.0 [Release 2.3 to 2.5]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On : 2.3.0.2.0 version, Web Workspace

When running multiple CESEJBs and executing 'Action any.pub* ejb enable_login false' the WebLogic managed server throws a stack trace. It seems this is a result of a failed SQL transaction to delete and re-insert a row in CES_PARAMETERS for APP='NMS' and ATTRIB='ENABLE_LOGIN'. It appears that multiple CESEJBs' are executing at the same time, creating contention.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. With multiple NMS managed servers running,
2. Run "Action any.pub* ejb enable_login false"
3. Check the managed server logs.
