Roles Not Visible From Permission Center (Doc ID 2694367.1)

Last updated on APRIL 04, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management - Version 7.5.0.17.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

In a multi-brand environment, some brands roles are not visible with brand login or root login. Roles are created from and assigned to " to person"(brand) with pcm_perl_op.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Create brand account & service.
2. Create Customer Center role & permissions.
3. Assign role created in step 2 to people(brand) in step 1.

Actual behavior:
Role created is not visible from permission center

Expected behavior:
Role created should be visible from permission center

Why do all the roles present in database are not visible from permission center. If roles are created from permission center for Customer Center application, then roles SERVICE_T.NAME is populated correctly with application name i.e 'Customer Center' because after creating the roles SERVICE_T.NAME field is written with application name.

But while creating roles from testnap with the flist, roles are created with SERVICE_T.NAME as 'PIN Service Object' due to which the roles are not visible from permission center.

Hence, Please confirm whether explicit call to write fields to update application name could be used as a workaround ?
