Saved Search Results Not Returning Projects While Using the Search from the Dynamic List Field (Doc ID 2695084.1)

Symptoms

Actual Behavior

Saved search results not returning projects while using the search from the dynamic list field

Expected Behavior

Saved search results to return projects even while using the search from the dynamic list field

Steps

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Log into Web Client as admin user which has all the privileges
  2. Run Advanced Search with below criteria, and save search
    Projects | Activities | Object Search
       Owner | In | (Prompt checked on) | And
       Root Parent | Contains | (Prompt checked on)
  3. Create Project with Name: PROG1
  4. Goto Schedule tab, and add Phase1
  5. Open Phase1, and goto Schedule tab, and add Task1
  6. Run the saved search created in step 1, and when prompted, give below
    values and run search:
    Owner In: admin
    Root Parent Contains: PROG
  7. Confirm below is returned:
    Phase1
    Task1
  8. Log into Java Client as admin user, and enable Part.Page Three.MultiList01 field
  9. Set the List to "Project", which is out of box dynamic list field for all the All Project Objects
  10. Create modify privilege and read privilege for Part.Page Three.MultiList01 field, and grant it to admin user
  11. Relogin to Web Client as admin user
  12. Create new Part
  13. Edit, and goto Part.Page Three.MultiList01 field, and click "Launch the Palette icon
  14. Execute the saved search created in step 2
  15. When prompted, give the same value provided in step 6
  16. Gets: No records found
