SPWA In Line MPS plan missing as a Demand Schedule in ASCP standard Plan Options form for the MRP plan - in Hub and Spoke Cross Instance planning (Doc ID 2695680.1)

Last updated on JULY 29, 2020

Applies to:

Oracle Advanced Supply Chain Planning - Version 12.2.7 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When using SPWA and defining an Inline MPS plan to be used in Hub and Spoke Cross Instance planning ( the MPS hub plan is defined on instance A and the MRP plan is defined on instance B) , the issue is that the Inline MPS plan cannot be found as it is missing as a Demand Schedule, in ASCP standard Plan Options form for the MRP plan.

note: previously , when the regular MPS plan was created in standard ASCP forms, in order to accomplish Hub and Spoke Cross Instance planning  the workaround : it was sufficient to have Cross-instance sourcing rule between each pair of Organizations , using some dummy items ( create dummy items with cross instance sourcing to have MPS plan visible in MRP plan ) , in the MPS plan. After this it is possible to add production plan to material plan for all organizations.

Changes
