TSF_RESERVED_QTY Remains Unchanged in RMS When Store to Store Transfer Qty Smaller Than Expected Qty (Doc ID 2696352.1)

Symptoms

Reserved quantity in Retail Merchandising System is not updated when transfer quantity is smaller than expected due to the message published by Retail Store Inventory Management (SIM) fails in the RIB Error hospital.


The following error is seen in the RIB-RMS logs.

The updated transfer quantity must not be less then the greatest of ship quantity, distro quantity, and selected quantity, which is 10. Item 100535008. - Nested exception: - com.retek.rib.collab.RibAPIException: Error from {call RMSSUB_SOSTATUS.CONSUME(?,?,?,?)}: [E] The updated transfer quantity must not be less then the greatest of ship quantity, distro quantity, and selected quantity, which is 10. Item 100535008.

Steps to Reproduce:

Creating Request at store 9910

1. Go to Shipping/Receiving > Transfers > Create Request
2. Enter source store info, item and quantity.
3. Click Request
4. Click “Yes”

Approve request at store 9920

5. Change store, to store 9920
6. Go to Shipping/Receiving > Transfers and double click the request that you created
7. Accept the same quantity that was requested
8. Click Accept
9. Click “Yes” and then Ok

Submit and dispatch request at store 9920

10. Double click the transfer to enter
11. On Shipped enter a smaller quantity that was accepted
12. Click Submit
13. Click Yes
14. Enter the transfer again
15. Click Dispatch
16. Click Yes


Receive transfer at store 9910

17. Change store, to store 9910
18. Go to Shipping/Receiving > Transfers and double click the transfer that was dispatch previously
19. On “Received”, enter that same quantity that was shipped
20. Click Confirm
21. Click Yes

The TSF_RESERVED_QTY remains unchanged.
