If client accepts external alerts in ECM, the external alerts can include attachments which are saved on the FTPSHARE filesystem and appropriate metadata is inserted into alert tables. The external alert attachments include additional evidence relevant to the alert that cannot be entered elsewhere into the underlying tables.
