Unable To Run Multiple Cmmp Processes On Shared Storage In Round Robin Mode
(Doc ID 2698672.1)
Last updated on APRIL 17, 2024
Applies to:
Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management - Version 7.5.0.0.0 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
On all versions of Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management (BRM), it is not possible to run multiple Connection Manager Master Process (cmmp) instances on different servers, with the following conditions:
- The BRM servers are using a shared filesystem, for example, a network share mounted on both servers
- The cmmp processes are configured to round-robin over the configured Connection Manager (cm) processes
When various clients connect to the cms through cmmp, they can occasionally throw errors and/or fail due to the corruption of the cmmp_shared_data file.
