Last updated on AUGUST 11, 2020

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Convergent Charging Controller - Version 6.0.0 and later
Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control - Version 4.3.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On all versions of Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control (OCNCC or NCC) and Oracle Communications Convergent Controller (OC3C or 3C), the Virtual Private Network (VPN) Subscriber Lookup (VLSP) node overwrites the subscriber profile withe the network profile when the "Match Undefined Extensions" option is enabled in either the acs.conf or the VPN Network configuration screen.

As a result, certain profile tags that are tied to the VPN Subscriber block are unavailable and cannot be used to make service logic decisions in the remainder of the Advanced Control Services (ACS) Control Plan (CP).
