VPN PI Command Failures in OC3C 6.0.1
(Doc ID 2700179.1)
Last updated on AUGUST 13, 2020
Applies to:
Oracle Communications Convergent Charging Controller - Version 6.0.1 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
On Oracle Communications Convergent Controller (OC3C), 6.0.1 version,
The following Virtual Private Network (VPN) Provisioning Interface (PI) commands, fail for various reasons.
1) VPNNW1=ADD does not read the EXTLENGTH parameter; it gets set to the default of 32.
2) VPNNW1=ADD does not allow to set the "Match Undefined Extensions" parameter.
3) VPNNW1=CHG does not allow updating of the extention length or the "Match Undefined Extensions" parameters either. Changing the name of the network appears to be mandatory, How to change parameters of a network via the PI. If the NEW_NAME is not provided the command still runs, but comes back with a database update error. This is making the PI unusable
4) VPNNW1=CHG does not accept TAG as a valid parameter either, which might have been a workaround for altering certain profile fields. Also The "Compulsory Physical Address Range" field cannot be edited, so if one happen to create a network and set that field incorrectly then he has to delete and recreate the network.
